Tragic in Durrës/ 23-year-old woman dies after consuming photoxine

A 23-year-old woman has died after allegedly consuming poisonous substances in her apartment.

According to the announcement of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, on 16.02.2026, citizen FT, 23 years old, resident of Sukth, was taken to the Durrës hospital, after it is suspected that she had consumed Fotoksi.

The young woman was then transported for specialized treatment to the "Mother Teresa" University Hospital Center (MUT), but despite medical assistance, she passed away.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for further investigative actions.
