The Special Court accepted the request of the "Flame in the Sea" group to be tried under the summary trial procedure.

The request was accepted by the trial panel composed of Erjon Bani and Rudina Palloj, while on April 23, the special prosecution will read the final conclusions for the 12 members of this group.

Arlind Ismailukaj, Gezim Çelaj, Nerim Çela, Armando Mema, Dritan Metaj, Besnik Brokeri, Alket Deda, Selami Lushkaj, Ksenofon Bodo, Armando Papa, as well as the two Ukrainian citizens Kyrylo Ponomarenko and Kostiantyn Biellon, in this Wednesday's session, upheld the preliminary request for a summary trial.

Operation "Flame at Sea" was carried out by the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office in August 2023, where the arrested are suspected by the prosecution of having committed narcotics trafficking in the middle of the sea.

Spak and the police had information about a possible drug exchange on the high seas in the Patoku area via rubber boats, which were used to exchange hashish for cocaine at sea. The drugs were brought by two Ukrainians.
