The 48-year-old suspect was arrested for carrying weapons and ammunition without a permit in his apartment.

Tirana Police announced that they have arrested the suspect Shkëlqim Lami , a resident of the village of Pezë-Helmës.

During the search of the apartment, a Kalashnikov and a magazine with cartridges were found. The discovery came thanks to information obtained through operational means.

"As a result of the immediate administration of information obtained through operational channels, that a citizen was carrying firearms without permission, in his apartment, in the village of Pezë Helmes, the services of the Commissariat No. 6 finalized the operation coded "Signaling", during which the citizen Sh. L., 48 years old, was caught red-handed and put in handcuffs", the capital's police announced.

During the search of his apartment, 1 Kalashnikov firearm, 3 combs and combat ammunition were found, which were seized as material evidence.
