The President of the American Chamber of Commerce in Tirana, Grant Van Cleve, confirms that he has sent a letter to Prime Minister Edi Rama, the new Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, the director of the Port of Durres, and the Minister of Defense requesting the cancellation of the tender for the Port of Durres.

"I can confirm that I did indeed send that email, privately to those government officials. It was not sent on behalf of AmCham and was not intended for publication in the media."

"Anyway, now that you have the email, I don't think I need to make any further comments. Its contents are self-explanatory," Van Cleve said.
