New details have emerged from the SPAK operation , where 7 arrest warrants were issued.

In addition to the murder of Gentian Qarri, the Special Prosecution Office  has also solved the murder of Bledar Birçaj in Vlora in 2021. 

The murder of Bledar Burçaj

Bledar Birçaj was killed on May 11, 2021 in a well-organized assassination in his BMW X5 vehicle at the place called "Bishti i Kalldrëmit".

The vehicle was shot at over 10 times.

The murder of Bledar Birçaj still remains unsolved, while the main line of investigation at the time was said to be his possible conflicts in Spain, from where he had returned a month before his execution.

His name is not an unknown name to the police, as in 2011 he was arrested in Vlora as a suspect in murder and sentenced to 45 days in prison.

Birçaj also happened to be the owner of a business in Vlora.

Another incident where he was subject to law enforcement institutions is that of 2010, when Birçaj, together with his brother, raped the lawyer of the Local Real Estate Registration Office.
