Ervin Bushati, the Albanian ambassador to the US, seems to have been involved in a personal incident with an Albanian in Washington.
The whistleblower, Artur Elezi, writes on his social network that the ambassador has disappeared without paying a month's rent for the house.
Elezi writes that Bushati sent home an unsigned check, which was not immediately noticed by the owners. After a few days, the embassy driver returned the keys to the house without giving any other information about the ambassador.
Artur Elez's post
Strange behavior of the Albanian Ambassador in Washington DC.
Mr. Ervin Bishati is our tenant with a contract until the end of the year. Sometime in early November, he sends us the month's payment with an unsigned check. We noticed it after a few days and took it home for him to sign. Surprisingly the house is empty. After a few days, the Embassy driver brings us the house key. The ambassador himself has disappeared without making the payment, he doesn't even answer the phone. We wrote to the ambassador's colleagues and superiors - all the way to the dome. Complete silence, they too are gone.
What can we say to this! No one should behave this way, especially a top government representative in Washington DC.
