Fiks Fare captures Rinas police officer taking bribes with sound and video

Fiks Fare continued to denounce the way Albanians are being extorted at Rinas Airport. On September 23, an investigation was broadcast into how a police officer, named Briken Tereziu, was reinstated despite having been arrested, investigated and being tried for dozens of cases of abuse of office.

In the Tirana Prosecutor's Office file, it was found that Tereziu and several of his colleagues had bribed as many as 65 people, even minors without a parent's power of attorney. Although the case is in court and Briken Tereziu is accused of passive corruption and abuse of office, he has surprisingly returned to work.

Meanwhile, after the publication of this case, the editorial office of the investigative show received information that other employees were also engaged in the same activity. A Fiks Fare associate met another employee, who introduced himself as Kevin Kosova.

The first meeting takes place in a bar in Tirana, as Fiksi's co-worker tells him that he has to move. Kevin takes a photo of his passport and tells him to wait for the ticket. He calls another person, saying, "Dude, look at this I brought you." The co-worker tells him that he only has problems with deadlines, while the employee tells him, "Don't worry about deadlines."

From the conversation it emerges that the policeman and Fiksi's accomplice have met several other times, in Rinas, in another suspicious episode. "I just broke the euros and a guy told me to talk to these (policemen) once," the accomplice says of the time they met.

At the end of the first meeting, the associate tells the policeman that he has a friend who has been deported for 10 years. "They've told him not to leave Albania for 3 years," he says, while the policeman tells him, "bring me your passport with a photo so we can fix it, we'll see what happens." The associate tells him that he will, but he is being deported by the court. "It's nothing, we'll fix it," he replies.

The second meeting takes place again in the same environment, in the city of Tirana. The co-worker tells him that he will be moving tomorrow and asks what shift it is. The policeman replies that it is the third shift and he himself will be leaving at 5 pm. The policeman tells him that he will take him so that he does not get confused.

The co-worker tells him that he doesn't have much (money) today, as he takes out 100 thousand old lek and asks if it's enough? The policeman replies that it's "enough." He asks him several times if it's enough, and he replies that it is!

Then, the policeman shows him a photo with the numbers of the counters, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 … “I’ll leave it at 1 so you can easily find it. I’ll take you back with the photo and I’ll also tell you the name of the person you’re looking for,” the policeman tells him. The associate asks him again, as he replies that “I’ll take you back with the photo, I’ll tell you to meet so-and-so. You go there and tell him I love Eraldi, I love … so-and-so.” The associate replies that they shouldn’t bother him, while he says no.

Then, Fiks Fare's associate tells him about that friend with 10 years of deportation, while the policeman replies that he brings me his passport and we'll fix it. He tells him that he's leaving tomorrow and asks what the policeman's name was. "I'll tell you, leave," he replies.

The next day, the associate goes to Rinas, while chatting with the police officer on the social network WhatsApp. The police officer first sends him a photo. In the photo, he sketches the counters and tells him that "at number 6 (counter) I will meet Amarildo". Then the associate tells him that the time is at 19.40, while the police officer writes to him that "now the shift changes, I will take him back". Later, he writes to him "but at that counter, at 6, that is, ask for Edin".

The citizen presents himself at the Police counters at Rinas Airport and counts the counters. At counter number 6 he meets Edin, who was talking on the phone and surprisingly there was no queue like the others. After a few seconds, he passes the police without any problems, boards the plane and arrives at his destination.

The first meeting between Fiks Fare's collaborator and police officer Kevin Kosova:

Fiction – Oh my, I don't recognize you like that! I recognize you by those (police) clothes.

Policeman – Okay, how have you been?!

Fiction – Okay, okay. I didn't even learn your name?

Policeman – Kevin!

Fiction – Kevin who?

Police – Kosovo.

Fiction – Kosovo?

Policeman – Ee.

Fiction – Now I want to move.

Policeman – Did I see your passport?

Fiksi – Yes, I have the watch here. I came with my passport, I didn't play around.

Policeman – Let me take a picture.

Fiction – Take a picture so we can be together. Because when you're in police uniform, you're different, and with clothes like that, you don't look like a police officer! I've been there twice.

Policeman – When are you leaving?

Fiction – What shift are you on next week?

Policeman – I'm on second shift.

Fiction – Give me an answer.

Policeman – And you wait…

Fiction – Should I wait for the ticket?

Policeman – Wait for it!

Fix – Ok, I'm waiting for the ticket.

Policeman – Let me check (your passport).

Fiction – Check it out. And when it comes to 2 times, no it was like that, no it was like that. Because I can't understand. Now I'm waiting for it?

Policeman – Wait.

Fiction – That I want to leave before October 7th.

Policeman – (Talking on the phone) Hey, dude, look at this thing I brought you.

Fiction – What did you start with?

Policeman – Take a look at me and take me.

Fiction – Kevin Kosovo, I said, don't you have... a cousin?

Policeman – No, no.

Fiction – Where are you originally from?

Policeman – We are Kosovar by origin.

Fiction – Kosovar, guess what, you were born in Tirana?

Policeman – Yes, (the family has arrived) before Zogu.

Fiksi – Wow, you're an old tyrant, aren't you?

Policeman – The house in “Ali Dem” is gone!

Fiksi – Now I'm getting the ticket, I'm talking to this guy from the agency.

Policeman – Speak and I will speak. I don't believe you've ever been deported like this?

Fiction – No, no, no. I don't have that, I just have problems with deadlines. That's what that chick puts on the computer.

Policeman – Don't worry about deadlines.

Fiction – Okay, then we'll leave it at that!

Policeman – You just wait.

Fix – I'll wait for it and take it to you when I've cut the ticket, send it with...

Policeman – He brought it to me.

Fiction – We're okay, can I come over?

Policeman – Yes, because you are not…

Fiksi – Not only did he keep me there twice, I'll tell you the dates. He also told me, "Hey, put me in the back, you know." But I'm very uncomfortable when I'm traveling. I don't want to do things when I'm traveling.

Policeman – I understand.

Fiksi – That's why I was embarrassed that day. She was also communicating… Someone there told me, I broke my euros. Go away, he told me, talk to those guys there, they'll finish the job, he said. He said, getting angry, not here and there. It's a shame, man, you know how I blushed, effff. Fear, embarrassment, saying that I had committed a crime. I have this passport with me, you know, I showed it.

Policeman – Give it to me.

Fiction – No, no, there is that. You're looking at that, you mean that, look what's here. I have that...

Policeman – It's okay!

Fiksi – Well, that was when I was detained in Croatia. But they keep watching this a lot.

Policeman – It's best to change it (the passport) altogether.

Fiction – Does it seem like it again?

Policeman – Yes, it's a bit expensive (to get a passport quickly), so go ahead with this one.

Fiction – We're going to go through this once and then do the new one, what's the problem, I don't care about...

Policeman – Yes, that's right.

Fiction – You are very young, twenty-something…

Policeman – I'm not young, I don't care what I look like.

Fiction – Wow, how old are you?

Policeman – I am 30.

Fiksi – You are of mature age. I have a friend, but look what the problem is, it's useless to talk to them, you understand. He told me, they gave me 10 years of expulsion. But look what happens, within these 10 years, 3 years they made it so that I couldn't even leave Albania. How is this leaving Albania? Because a friend told me, make me cross the border on foot, that's what those rays are called.

Policeman – Tell him to bring his passport with a photo, let me see it.

Fiction – Where can I get a passport with a photo?

Policeman – We'll fix it, let's see how long it takes me to see it...

Fiksi – Okay, I'll take your brother, what about you? I'll take your brother's passport. He's being deported, by court!

Policeman – It's nothing!

Fiction – Ok.

Policeman – What's wrong here, fix it.

Fiction – This is where you're at. What's wrong, Albanian... We're the only ones for that job.

Policeman – Heh.

Fiction – Yes, yes. I will tell this friend, I will meet him also...

Policeman – Give me your passport and I'll take a look.

Fiction – I'll get you your passport.

Policeman – I'm at work this afternoon.

Fiction – And you control it better at work?

Policeman – Yes.

Fiksi – Okay, so I'm moving next week. Maybe I can take that friend and we can meet.

Policeman – No problem, take it to me.

Fiction – Or I'll take you there.

The second meeting between the Fiksi collaborator and the employee Kevin Kosova:

Fiction – Why are you sleepy, you were …

Policeman – I was 3 yesterday.

Fiction – Were you in the 3rd (shift)?

Policeman – E.

Fiction – I'm moving tomorrow, I'll check in today. I'm moving today, and tomorrow. What shift are you on tomorrow?

Policeman – I'm 3 again tomorrow.

Fiction – How about…

Policeman – What time will you leave?

Fiction – Yes, I have it at 5 o'clock.

Policeman – 5 pm?

Fiksi – Afternoon, see you here. I sent it, wait a second.

Policeman – I'll take you so you don't get confused.

Fix – Fix, ok, you send it to me by phone, ok. I have it on my watch, look here please.

Policeman – I got it at 4:20.

Fiction – I don't have much with me today. Don't let them see us. Look. That's all I have today!

Policeman – There are plenty.

Fiction – By God, that's all I have today. What?

Policeman – That's enough!

Fiksi – That's right, I'll be here for 3-4 days. We don't have that... Are they okay?

Policeman – Yes, sir. Look, you understand this way (shows him a photo). These are all the counters (of the police in Rinas).

Fiction – Wait, 1, 2, 3 …

Policeman – All the counters, I'll leave it here at number 1 so you can have it easily.

Fiction – Ok, the 1st. Ok, ok, ok.

Policeman – I'll take a picture of this and tell you the name of the person you'll meet.

Fiction – On the 1st, I'll go on the 1st. Ok.

Policeman – I'll take you back with a photo, don't get confused.

Fiction – 1st place, very good.

Policeman – I'll say meet so-and-so.

Fixed – Fixed.

Policeman – I will write to you, I love Eraldi, I love so-and-so.

Fiction – Don't make me work, because...

Policeman – No, not at all.

Fiction – Maybe these new rules they introduced have drowned us.

Policeman – No.

Fiksi – And my friend, for that job, has been at it for 10 years.

Policeman – Take your photo and passport.

Fiksi – No, he told me, I can't pass with my passport. I checked it.

Policeman – Tell him to take it.

Fiksi – Ok, okay, I'm telling him. So that I don't come in too much, you know. Don't keep telling him 100 times, you know. Okay, let's leave it like this, then you'll give me the number and what's his name, Eraldi?

Policeman – I'll tell you, I'll tell you on WhatsApp.

Fiction – On WhatsApp, fine.

The next day, the citizen appears in Rinas:

Fiction – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 euu. 6, 7th … Oh Edo (the policeman and the recommended counter)! I just passed by and I'm waiting here at the door. Goodbye, blessed homeland!
