Elvis Shkambi suffered psychological trauma after the murder of the judge

After the murder of Judge Astrit Kalaja, the perpetrator of the serious crime, Elvis Shkambi, suffered severe psychological trauma.

According to the investigative file, after the perpetrator went out into the yard with his uncle, he gave him the car keys, asking him to leave, as he "had no work", but he did not leave and they stayed in the yard until the police services approached, to whom, as soon as they were about to enter the courthouse, he called out, telling them that he was the person who had fired the gun.

His uncle, at the moment he shot at judge Astrit Kalaja, was next to him.

After he shot the judge, Gjon Shkambi stood in shock in the courtroom, without taking any action.

He remembers that he was shocked and in a serious psychological state the whole time, saying: "Turn us off!".

Regarding the firearm, the pistol with which he committed the incident, Elvis Shkambi stated that he has had it in his possession for about 10 years and has never used it; it was the first time he had fired with this weapon.

He has been with this weapon on his belt on other occasions, in almost all the court hearings that have taken place and that he has followed closely, and he has also been with this weapon on his belt in other institutions where he has gone to demand his rights.

He stated that he carried this weapon for self-defense and did not carry it with him as a form of pressure for court hearings.

At the moment he shot the judge, he felt great hatred towards him for the unjust decision given to them.

According to the prosecution, referring to the testimony, the perpetrator regrets everything that happened, as he "didn't want it to end like this, but everything was a momentary shock from that decision."
