Prime Minister Edi Rama has condemned the acts of violence during the protests, describing them as disconnected from the legitimate dissatisfaction of citizens in a democratic country.
During the press conference, Rama again displayed a stone, using it as a symbol of violence against police officers and emphasizing that the state should not negotiate in the face of such acts. According to him, the young people involved in these acts do not seek peace, but subversion.
Rama: You are facing a wave of violence that has nothing to do with any of the legitimate reasons for citizens in a free and democratic country to be dissatisfied and demand more from the government. I came back with this (stone) because you really have to weigh it and how much weight it adds when it comes to the direction of people in uniform and what they can do about it. This is not negotiable and this is not negotiable with what they put forward. The moment the state negotiates with this state, it has fallen, the moment this one wins, the logic becomes the state itself. Albania has this, and the consequences of this are wounds that will take years to heal. The guys who join this, in essence, do not want peace, but overthrow. They are hostages of a new ideology, which has only one mission, destroy, they become a plane so that we can build it from scratch.
