The driver of the 'BMW' X6, which ended up in the Tirana Lake dam, Eldi Allushi, has given conflicting evidence before judicial police officers.

He initially said that he was not the driver of the vehicle, then he admitted it. From the verifications, police sources say, the 26-year-old was not under the influence of alcohol when the incident happened.

While blood samples have been taken and it will take more time to find out if he used narcotics.

There were two other people in the car, one of them was escorted while the other is wanted for questioning. Allushi has not given any explanation about the circumstances of how the accident happened.
