New details have emerged from the tragic accident recorded in Berat , where a vehicle fatally hit a 30-year-old woman who was walking with her 2-year-old child.

The victim is citizen  Lavdie Gjata , who is reported to have been walking on the side of the road with her child in her arms in "Berat-Dimal", in the area of ​​the village of Morava, when she was hit by a "BMW" vehicle driven by 25-year-old A. Tafa.

The 30-year-old's husband, who was waiting for Lavdie Gjata on the other side of the street, along with their son, also witnessed the horrific scene.

When the ambulance arrived at the scene, the 30-year-old woman was without signs of life, while fortunately the 2-year-old child survived and is not in any danger to his health.

The 25-year-old driver, A. Tafa, was escorted to the police station after the incident, while the Police are investigating to fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.
