Lavia Gjata is the 30-year-old woman who was fatally hit by a vehicle driven by 25-year-old A. Tafa, while she was walking with her child.

The 2-year-old child escaped the accident without injury.

The driver of the vehicle is being escorted to the Police premises for further procedural actions.

The investigation team is at the scene and continues to investigate the incident.

At around 18:35, on the “Berat-Dimal” road axis, in Morava, citizen AT, 25 years old, while driving his vehicle, hit citizen L. Gj., 30 years old, and her 2-year-old child (pedestrians). Citizen L. Gj., as a result of the injuries sustained, died, while her child has no life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle is being escorted to the Police premises for further procedural actions.

The investigation team is at the scene and continues to investigate the incident.
