An unusual situation was recorded during the next meeting of the Saranda Municipal Council.

It is reported that as the meeting continued, a mussel farmer from Lake Butrint entered the hall and poured a bucket of mussels on the floor, in a sign of revolt against the inaction of local structures to support this business.

He stated that the mussel has a very bad aroma, and is on the verge of 'death'. 

"Look at the condition of the mussels in Lake Butrint, smell the smell of the dying mussels. We are not joking," said the mussel farmer.

Mussel farmers have expressed their concern, stressing that they have not received support from local authorities to cope with the problems they are encountering in their business.
