Today, Monday, June 2, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, will appear at SPAK, in implementation of the security measure set by the GJKKO, "compulsory appearance".
Berisha is a defendant in the privatization case of the "Partizani" complex together with his son-in-law, Jamarbër Malltezi, and the file has gone to trial, a decision which was made in a preliminary hearing by Judge Flojera Davidhi on May 19.
The opposition leader is expected to arrive at the Special Prosecution Office premises today at around 9:30 am.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the DP has notified structures and supporters to be in front of the SPAK premises.
The measure for Berisha, the obligation to appear, was imposed by Special Appeal Judge Engert Pëllumbi on January 5 of this year. He partially overturned the first instance decision of November 27, 2024, when Berisha was released from house arrest after more than 330 days, a decision that was also made by Flojera Davidhi.
