The lawyers of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha have boycotted the session in the Special Court regarding the privatization of the former Partizani complex.

Berisha's lawyer, Genc Gjokutaj, has shown outside the court premises the reason why they decided to boycott the process. According to him, GJKKO has not accepted to take the measure of banning Berisha's movement abroad to the Constitutional Court for interpretation.

They claim that the measure is in violation with the Constitution since a deputy who has immunity cannot be stopped from moving.

So, it is learned that the session is continuing with a lawyer appointed by the state.

"We appeared at the session today, we submitted a request yesterday for the dismissal of judge Irena Gjoka, and we appealed to be given the audio and written minutes. As well as the Court placing a copy of the acts, however, without familiarizing itself with the acts, it decides to continue the session. We have requested that the court take the Constitutional Court's interpretation of the deprivation of liberty. The court made a decision to dismiss this request of ours and we left the process.

The court is using instruments to not acquaint us with the acts. The verification session is a session that reviews the acts once again, we cannot be part of that process without familiarizing ourselves with the acts", stated Gjokutaj.
