The Tirana court left Asqeri Mandri in prison, who was arrested a few days ago on charges of domestic violence.

He stated in the session that he installed the security cameras in the apartment to see his wife and children, as he was abroad. According to him, there were arguments in the couple, but no violence.

"We had arguments, but no violence. The fight started after the woman asked me to work at night as a guard," he declared in court.

The 34-year-old kept his wife 'prisoner' in their villa in Kodër Kamëz. He lived in Germany, but after he had returned, he had physically abused his wife, in the presence of their four children. The cameras he had installed in the apartment to monitor it 24 hours a day, have also recorded scenes of violence.

The confessions of the relatives make the incident even more serious. In an interview for Top Channel, Mandri's mother admits that she knew about the cameras, but justifies them with the fact that "the boy was jealous", while claiming that the girl was cheating on him.

Even the woman herself appeared contradictory, after she reported the violence to the police, as she declared to the media that she had installed the cameras in the house herself and that she was not beaten by Mandri.
