Accused of hiding the incident, the police provide information about the arrest of two asylum nurses in Tirana

The Tirana police have given details about the arrest of two nurses in the nursing home, where an elderly man killed his roommate.

It is about citizens Nazime Mulla and Glesantina Saraçi, who are accused of the criminal offense "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth".

POLICE NOTICE
Regarding the incident that happened yesterday, on 08.08.2024, in a private asylum for the elderly, where citizen Mr. Sh., 78 years old, hit citizen VV with a cane, who as a result of he lost his life due to the injuries received, we inform you that:

Following the in-depth investigative actions carried out, the citizens GS, 26 years old, and NM, 31 years old, both residents of Tirana, with the profession of nurse in the asylum where the two elderly people were accommodated, were arrested.

From the conducted investigation, sufficient evidence was provided that creates reasonable suspicion that the two arrested women, in cooperation with each other, have committed the criminal offense "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth", provided by article 301/25 of the Criminal Code.

These two citizens have not notified the competent authorities about the incident and have carried out actions that prevent the discovery of the truth. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office.
