Numerous police forces have surrounded the apartment of Gëzim Çela, the former police officer considered one of the biggest leaders of cocaine and heroin trafficking in Europe.

It is learned that the police forces have surrounded Çela's apartment and bar in Fushë-Kuqe, while the operation is being carried out by the State Police in cooperation with SPAK.

It is reported that the arrest of a police officer, head of the police station, while parallel actions are also taking place in Tirana, Durrës, Vlora, Kurbin.

We remind you that the director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, has announced a press conference at 18:30. It remains unclear whether it was possible to arrest Gëzim Çela.

Gëzim Çela is accused of the criminal offenses of "Trafficking in narcotic substances", committed in collaboration and "Production and possession of weapons without permission", as well as exploitation of prostitution. He was previously the subject of "OFL" as he was able to escape justice.

Çela's activity started a little earlier than in 2014 when, in cooperation with people from Kosovo, they created a network of cocaine trafficking from Latin American countries to Kosovo and Albania to then distribute it throughout Europe and beyond.
