Tragic accident in Italy, 32-year-old Albanian dies in flames (NAME)

This 32-year-old Albanian man you see in this photo tragically lost his life on Monday as a result of a road accident in the Marzabotto area, near Bologna, Italy.

Italian authorities have identified him as Leonardo Fjora. He was travelling along the Porrettana road in his Volkswagen Lupo when, according to preliminary reconstructions of the incident, he made a dangerous overtaking manoeuvre and collided head-on with a waste collection truck coming from the opposite direction.

After the collision, the car left the road and immediately burst into flames. The 32-year-old man was trapped inside the vehicle and died in the flames. The truck was also involved in the accident, but its driver suffered only minor injuries.

Two firefighting teams, supported by a fire truck, responded to the scene, extinguished the fire and secured the area.

Emergency medical teams confirmed the death of the young Albanian, while the carabinieri fully clarified the dynamics of the accident.
