An elderly man has died in the ambulance that was being transported to the Trauma Hospital.

According to the police report, the incident occurred yesterday in the city of Durrës.

The blue uniforms indicate that the victim is a 74-year-old man with the initials, HD.

Preliminary investigations suspect that the victim fell down the stairs of his apartment, suffering serious injuries and fractures, mainly to the head.

Meanwhile, investigations are being pursued by the Prosecutor's Office to shed light on the dynamics and full causes of the tragic event.

Police announcement:

"On February 9, citizen HD, 74 years old, lost his life during transportation by ambulance from Durres Hospital to the Trauma Hospital, who is suspected of being injured after falling down the stairs of his apartment," the police statement said.
