The United States Embassy in Albania has reacted to the protest called by Sali Berisha, which is expected to take place at 5:00 PM, in front of the Prime Minister's Office in Tirana.

The embassy urges American citizens to exercise increased caution, follow local media and the instructions of law enforcement authorities.

" A protest is planned for Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Protesters plan to gather near the Prime Minister's Office building, which is located on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, between Mother Teresa Square and Skanderbeg Square. Increased police presence, road closures, and traffic disruptions are expected.

Albanian State Police have announced that protesters may block intersections in various parts of the city center. U.S. Embassy personnel are advised to avoid the protest. Follow local media and instructions from local law enforcement authorities for the latest information.

While protests and large gatherings often start peacefully, the situation can change quickly. Protests can spread to surrounding blocks and near government buildings, causing traffic disruptions, detours, and road closures. Our ongoing guidance is to avoid protest areas.

"If you are in the city, please remain vigilant and prioritize your personal safety. Strengthen your security measures by implementing the following habits ," the US embassy said in a statement.
