"I just won the phone tender on Top Channel", the scams of the former Big Brother Albania resident don't stop: He hasn't paid me yet...

Fiks Fare continued to publish the next denunciations of various businesses and citizens against Elton Tozaj, a former resident of Big Brother Albania, who was robbed of money and phones, posing as an internal employee of Top Channel television.

The investigative show proved with voice, image, and even documents that this person has deceived several other people, in different cities of Albania, claiming that he "knows the owners of the television."

In these conversations, Tozaj says that he "won a tender for phones on Top Channel" and asks for samples from businesses and citizens. A pure fraud, since the national television has not held any such tender, much less declared this individual the winner.

A few days ago, Fiks Fare documented two cases of fraud, one in the city of Korça, where Tozaj had taken 3 "Iphone 17 Pro Max" phones from a business, worth around 5,200 euros. The claim was that he would keep 1 phone for himself and the other 2 were for the executives of Top Channel. During the confrontation with the journalists of the investigative show, Tozaj said that "I made the payment 2-3 days ago".

Fiks Fare contacted the phone shop business in the city of Korça again. The owner said that, after the confrontation with the police, he did not receive any payment from Elton Tozaj. According to him, Elton lied in the interview that he made the payment!

"No, no, he hasn't returned anything. He promised in October that he would return the amount, but he hasn't returned anything. We filed a report with the Korça Police Department, in the Economic Crime Sector, which is where the report is made for anything over 1 million old lek. About 2-3 weeks ago, they took me from the Police Department to report to the Department that the person in question had come ," says the owner.

According to him, in the confrontation, Tozaj did not deny it. " He made a statement and signed there that I have the money, but he told me he had not given me the coupon. He is lying, that I have always had the coupon. He said he would come to Korça, bring the money, I will put it in the account number. Send me the account number, he said, I will transfer it from Top Channel, from the Top Channel account, he did not do it", claims the owner.

He further claims that he has deposited all three phone bills with the Police Directorate in Korça. "I sent it to this one too, he said he would give me the money, he would send the money on January 15, still no money, nothing. I went to meet the prosecutor here who had the case. The prosecutor's guard told him that so-and-so came. He said he had a case with me, yes! I told him I am the injured party. No, make a request, send it in an envelope to the post office to meet me. You are not allowed to meet me. Now they have moved that prosecutor, they have taken her to Elbasan. Now who knows, there will be a draw to see which prosecutor will take over the case again. Nothing, nothing, they left it," he says.

According to him, justice has not been served so far. " They should have issued an arrest warrant, for example. He has all these scams, what is this, the other one appears on TV every day. And when I saw what he said that I gave him 3 days ago, it's not true. When I saw on TV that I gave him 3 days ago, he didn't give me anything. Not even 1,000 old lek. He didn't make any payments," he says.

Fiks Fare has secured another decision of the Korça Court of Appeal, dated April 7, 2025, which results in Elton Tozaj being sentenced to 6 months in prison, accused of fraud. The decision cites that Tozaj had told the owners of a business that he had connections in the ministry or municipality and had many tenders in hand. A ministry had opened a tender for electronic equipment in the amount of 34 thousand euros.

The conversations are from 2022, where Tozaj took from a citizen 1 "iPhone 13 Pro Max" cell phone, 1 laptop, which at that time cost 2,500 euros. Also, Tozaj took from him an amount of 75,000 lek, with the claim that he would open a NIPT number. Even after the court's decision, Elton has not returned the money.

Meanwhile, the editorial office of the show Fiks Fare has received another complaint from a citizen. She says that in August 2025, she contacted Elton on social media after the latter advertised a weight loss vaccine, a vaccine that a former Big Brother resident had also used. He asked her for 430 euros, which the citizen paid at that time.

A few months later, Elton called her, telling her that he had "just won a tender on Top Channel for phones". He claimed to be in the presence of Top Channel executives, as he asked the citizen for 2 phones as samples. "With my acquaintances, I gave him 2 phones. 1 iPhone 16 Pro Max and a Samsung 25 Ultra. Both are worth 2,100 euros. He promised me that he would send me the money as soon as he received payment from the television. To this day, he has not even brought me the vaccine and has not returned the phones ," the citizen claims.

According to her, he made a maneuver, transferring an amount to her bank account, but then canceled it. A day after this interview, the citizen contacts Elton, who promises to return the entire amount on Wednesday. " I'm telling you, by Wednesday my mother will contact you and liquidate you. Mom. My mother will take it by Wednesday. The taxis of that 72-year-old woman," he tells her. A scheme that he has used in almost all cases.
