The 4-4 Constitutional Court decision to suspend Belinda Balluku from her duties has pitted journalist Anila Hoxha against lawyer Plarent Ndreca in Top Story.

The former SP MP argued for the lifting of immunity according to the Venice Commission, while journalist Hoxha said "some divine immunity will be invented"

Excerpts from the debate between them:

Hoxha: The court gave a decision without a decision. There is a decision in force, in which the suspension from office was decided. Even more simply, although the court has announced the decision, it has not yet been published in the Official Gazette. Will there be any divine immunity anymore. Don't laugh at all..

Ndreca: Is it possible to read the Venice Commission?

Hoxha: I won't give you the answer at all. When you read a decision in just one paragraph, you are not honest with the public, you are contradictory.

Ndreca: I said there is a decision. Why are you getting angry and throwing it away for nothing?

Hoxha: You teach us the laws, I'm teaching you Albanian so that Albanians can understand.

Ndreca: You're not speaking correctly. You're accusing me of inventing immunities.

Hoxha: When you bring me the Venice Commission, read it all, sir.

Ndreca: I apologize for not asking your permission.

Hoxha: You have been given the exclusive right to enlighten me and the public.

Ndreca: It's attracting the public's attention.

Hoxha: Oh, you came for a show? I didn't come for a show, I came to report.
