65% of men aged 25-34 who live in Tirana county are single. This shows detailed data from censi recently published, according to which although the population of Tirana county is dominated by the female gender, the highest number with single status is in men.

For sociologist Entela Binjaku, such data reflect the phenomenon of the rising age of marriage, which at first glance reads as a form of maturity, but inwardly there are also a number of factors that are making young people reluctant to marry.

"It is not just this single cause, the need to be more mature, usually after the reasons that are at the age of marriage is uncertainty; the uncertainty of providing economically for a family, a shelter, and often men hesitate because they are unsafe."

Consequently, births in Albanian society have also declined and some supportive policies are proposed in this situation.

While men dominate as singles, the highest number of divorcees living in Tirana county are female.
