The Italian policemen who have come to Lezha to serve in the reception centers and immigrant camps, seem to be dissatisfied with the differential treatment that is being given to them by the government of their country.

They have expressed their anger to the Italian media.

"Up on the hill, a handful of prison officers isolated from the world in prefabs. Down by the sea, everyone else in five-star hotels: carabinieri, police and financiers, as if on a permanent school trip," writes Davide Carlucci for "La Repubblica".

He says that there are currently eleven Italian policemen in the Gjadri camp who are isolated in a deserted place, where there are currently no immigrants.

"Closed in the last part of a detention and repatriation center for immigrants that is more empty and desolate than ever, the guards around them have nothing. There are currently eleven of them living like this," says the Italian media, noting that with normally there should have been 15 guards, but some have received permission to return to Italy.

Davide Carlucci writes that to sleep, the guards climb a gray metal ladder, similar to an emergency ladder, and to kill time, in the relaxation room they only have a television, like in some hospitals.

"To go for a walk? And where are you going? Around a desert of trees and pomegranates and sheep. And an endless construction site with trucks coming in and out of the ghost center expansion. The most you can get to is the village, which there's a small bar, a small grocery store, an onion greens occupying the sidewalk: the nightlife is all here, old people who spend their days drinking beer and smoking. And to shout at the authorities." he writes.

This is one side of the coin, because the other is what these guards of Gjadri envy, their carabinieri colleagues stay in a 5-star resort in Shengjin and have the opportunity to do many things, completely free.

"Great envy of the police, carabinieri and financiers. They are down in Shengjin, where you can still go to the sea of Rana e Hedhun, one of the most beautiful dune areas in Albania. Most of them sleep in the five-star Rafaelo executive hotel: there you have a great breakfast and a good dinner too. If you want to change, you only have the choice: Goga Fish, or the seafood restaurant, or other places where you can eat a good fish for twenty euros in the hotel, there is a TV in every room. In the morning you can take a dip in the pool. There is a taxi outside, 5 or 10 euros, and you arrive in Lezha, where there are also some night clubs", the article continues.

The reception center in Shengjin and the camp in Gjadër are currently empty because there are no migrants there.

Some who arrived weeks ago were returned to Italy at the request of the Court of Rome, while next week it is reported that the ship "Libra" will bring about 70 migrants, possibly more.
