Road blocked, 5 kilometers of traffic on Elbasan-Tirana highway

The good weather and the end of the weekend have led many visitors from the south-eastern area of Albania to head towards the capital, creating heavy traffic at the exit of Elbasan.

Sources from the site report that vehicle queues stretch up to 5 kilometers long, causing major delays for commuters.

Also heavy traffic is every day in the Area of Librazhd, this has happened due to some works being done on a bridge, which is currently done with a single crossing.

These works have blocked hundreds of passengers who are moving from Korça towards the capital. Hotolisht-Miraka and Labinot-Elbasan road takes more than two hours to travel, but vehicles are stuck on this road axis.
