Public calm and order seem to have gone out of control over the past 48 hours in the country, with several cities rocked by serious crimes such as murders, injuries and armed robberies.

In the last two days, two people lost their lives and two others were injured, in a series of events mainly for trivial reasons, or conflicts that could have been avoided or even resolved.

In Korça

The most shocking event is that of yesterday evening in Korça. In the late hours of February 28, 61-year-old Ilo Lluka shot 40-year-old Emiljano Pine, leaving him dead on the spot. Immediately after the crime, Lluka pointed the gun at himself and committed suicide.

The murder-suicide crime in Korça is suspected to have been caused by conflicts over the ownership of an apartment.

In Kruja

Just a few minutes after the serious crime in Korça, a gunshot wound shook the city of Kruja. 43-year-old Perlat Merlika shot his neighbor, Artan Goga. The latter is still in the hospital, under the care of doctors.

The injury, according to the police, is suspected to have occurred due to weak motives. The author had a conflict with his neighbor while they were playing backgammon in a bar.

In Kavaje

Two armed and masked persons robbed one of the largest supermarkets in Kavaje this Thursday evening (February 29). At gunpoint, the perpetrator entered "Maxi Market" and, threatening the employees with a Kalashnikov, managed to take the money from the two cash registers.

The other perpetrator was in the car and was waiting outside. The two fled in an unknown direction, as police hope they can track them down by looking at security cameras.

In Koplik

For weak motives, a 32-year-old man was shot in the leg by a citizen with the initials MH. The incident happened around 19:50 this evening (February 29), while the police say that they are chasing the perpetrator.

In Puka

A quarrel between neighbors in the village of Micoj in Fushë-Arrëzi has threatened to turn into a tragedy. The conflict, which allegedly started over a property, was aggravated when the 50-year-old man with the initials AC took the Kalashnikov and threatened his 35-year-old neighbor with the initials YC. Fortunately, in this case, the police managed to intervene in time.
