Students have announced the next national protest will take place this Saturday, November 7, at 2:00 PM, in front of the Ministry of Education.
After more than 150 days of non-stop protests, organizers announce that they will change their organizing strategy, moving to two national protests per week, every Wednesday and Saturday, at the same time.
In their statement, the students emphasize that the main demand for the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama continues to receive no response from the government. They say they are prepared for a long battle and that this new phase of organizing aims to increase the mobilization of students and their supporters.
The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, also announced today that he will hold another protest on Saturday, November 7th.
Berisha said that the rally will start at 12:00 and will be the most powerful protest the country has ever seen. As before, Berisha said that this protest will be in support of the rallies that students have been organizing for several weeks now.
However, it is worth noting that in the last protest on October 31, young people removed the Democratic Party MPs, calling them as guilty as the government for the conditions in which the country finds itself.
