Official/ Alcohol sales are banned at the World Cup in Qatar

The official communication from FIFA on the issue of the sale of alcohol during Qatar 2022, this issue is holding the table due to the involvement of Budweiser, the rich sponsor of the tournament.

"Following discussions between the host country authorities and FIFA, a decision was made to concentrate the sale of alcohol at the FIFA Fan Festival and licensed premises, removing outlets from the stadium perimeter.

There is no impact on the sale of Bud Zero (alcohol-free beer) which remains available at every Qatar World Cup stadium.

Host country authorities and FIFA will continue to ensure that stadiums and their surrounding areas provide a pleasant, respectful and enjoyable experience for all fans.

The tournament organizers appreciate AB InBev's understanding and continued support for our combined commitment to provide service for all during Qatar 2022.”
