A shocking incident has alarmed French authorities. An 18-year-old has been arrested and accused of being part of a criminal group that planned kidnappings and robberies, with soccer star Kylian Mbappe among the targets.

According to an exclusive report by "Le Parisien", the young man is suspected of being linked to plans to kidnap 26 people, including wealthy businessmen, footballers and a rapper.

Mbappe was one of the targets of the group, who allegedly intended to attack and rob him during his stay in Paris. The addresses of several celebrities were reportedly found on the suspect's phone.

The arrested young man has stated to investigators that he was not the mastermind of this plan, but was acting as an intermediary for a superior.

The 18-year-old has been placed in detention and isolation, while investigations continue to clarify his role and that of his accomplices in these plans.
