The quarrel between the players of Kosovo and Romania did not end with the interruption of the match.

Tensions escalated further when Edon Zhegrova was verbally attacked by Romanian Federation officials and even journalists. One of them tried to get into a physical confrontation in the dressing room tunnel after the interrupted challenge.

The fight during the press conference

During the press conference, held in one of the stadium premises, some Romanians, including journalists, tried to approach Edon Zhegrova in a threatening manner. The situation became tense, but the immediate intervention of the officials of the Football Federation of Kosovo prevented further escalation.

The former FFK official, Taulant Hodaj, was the first to react, pushing one of the people who was approaching the Lille winger, Zhegrova. The president of FFK, Agim Ademi, and the official Bajram Shala, who supported Hodaj in defense of the Kosovo players, were then involved in the incident.

"He attacked our players. Is this hospitality? Shame on you! It's over for you!", Hodaj was heard to say during the tense moment.

Reactions and consequences

The incident has provoked numerous reactions, questioning the behavior and ethics of the Romanian representatives in this situation. While the Federation of Kosovo condemned the event, it is expected that there will be a more detailed investigation to determine possible disciplinary measures.
