The coach brings to the team his experience and his way of working that involves everyone, including the gardeners at Continassa, who must respect his instructions.

According to Tuttosport, the former coach of the Italian national team is not limited to perfecting his work on the field, but demands that everything be perfect. And what is more important than the field? Everything starts there, and an excellent playing surface is essential to prepare for the matches that await the black and white team. For this reason, he wanted to speak personally with those who deal with him, to give them precise instructions that come from his experience.

Spalletti is meticulous even with the gardeners

Everything has to be perfect, and having a good playing field is the basis for doing a good job with the rest of the team. Continassa has three training pitches where Juventus train every day, and Spalletti wanted to speak personally to the gardeners to explain how the grass should be suitable for his style of play. He was interested in how the grass is cut and how maintenance is carried out, before setting out his demands: the coach wanted uniformity and a fairly low cut, to allow the ball to move better and without obstacles.

This has been his obsession for several years now, because he is convinced that even in training the ball should travel at the same speed as in matches. This serves to teach the players to have control and never let their attention level drop — an essential element that will later be reflected in official matches: distraction and slowness in reaction are prohibited; his Juventus is a fast-moving machine and everyone must be ready to explode.

Work in anticipation of the derby

This week in particular, Spalletti has had extra work to do: behind him is the Champions League draw against Sporting and on Saturday Juventus will face Torino in the derby. It is always a delicate match because in the city it is experienced with great sensitivity, and the coach cannot make a single wrong step. For this reason he is trying to accelerate the pace to be ready for this meeting, essential to continue working calmly. On the other hand, it is not a particularly dangerous team, but these challenges have a completely different flavor, especially for a young coach who is called upon to bring results quickly in a very demanding environment.
