Serbia and Albania

The Football Federation of Serbia was fined 87,500 Swiss francs by FIFA and partial closure of the stands for the final round of World Cup qualifying match against Latvia in Leskovac.

Also, due to numerous fines, the FSS gave up on the organized sale of tickets for the penultimate round match against England at Wembley, which is also crucial for the Serbian team, as their loss and Albania's victory in Andorra on the same day and time would have made our team official as part of the World Cup play-offs.

Meanwhile, the FIFA Disciplinary Committee made a decision regarding the 2026 World Cup qualifying match between the national teams of Serbia and Albania, played on October 11, 2025.

The Football Federation of Serbia was fined 87,500 Swiss francs for inappropriate behavior of fans during the singing of national anthems and discriminatory behavior of a part of the public during the match, as well as the measure of partial closure of at least 25% of the capacity of the stands (mainly behind the goals) in the upcoming match of the Serbian national team A in the FIFA competition, against Latvia in Leskovac.
