Cagliari has formalized the approach of Alen Sherri. The goalkeeper from Shkodran has signed a 3-year contract with the Serie A team, taking the big step of his career.
After a season where he won the title and the Cup of Albania with Egnatia, Sherri starts a new adventure in the Italian championship.
Egnatia sold the goalkeeper to Cagliari for 350,000 euros, while until the summer of 2027 Sherri will protect the squad from Sardinia.
"Imposing physique, 197 centimeters tall, Sherri is skilled between the posts, brave in the air, good with his feet," reads Cagliari's post, which welcomes the 26-year-old.
Sherri will compete with Scuffet and Radunovic for a starting place in the Cagliari team, which has believed in the qualities of the red and black goalkeeper, who now wants to leave his mark beyond the Adriatic. Sherri leaves after 195 matches in the Albanian championship, while he has also played 26 matches in the Cup of Albania and 13 international matches with Laçi and Egnatia.
After playing with the U21 National Team, the Shkodran goalkeeper made his debut in goal for the senior national team on November 9, 2022.
