Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani has given up on the move to buy Manchester United, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reports this Saturday.
The latest bid by Qatari billionaire, son of Qatari Prime Minister Hamad bin Jassim Al Thani, was valued at almost $7 billion (6.7 billion euros) for 100 percent of the English club's share capital, in addition to debt settlement. But apparently this has not convinced the Glazer family to sell the club.
The same journalist also adds that sources connected to Sheikh Jasim refused to comment on this information, citing "confidentiality restrictions", but confirmed that he himself has already withdrawn from the process of buying and selling Manchester United.
It should be noted that with the withdrawal of Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad al-Thani, British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe is leading this race to buy Manchester United, something that was already reported before.
