The new coach of Milan will be the Portuguese Sergio Conceiçao. He arrived in Milan this Monday afternoon and has signed a contract with Milan until June 2025 with an option to renew until 2026. Conceiçao is expected to start work in the Super Cup match on January 3 against Juventus.

Paulo Fonseca's adventure at Milan ended this Monday morning with an official announcement from the Italian club.

After the news broke before the match with Roma, the Portuguese coach went to the press conference as usual without yet knowing that he was being fired. Leaving the stadium in his car, half an hour after midnight, he confirmed the dismissal.

"I left Milan. That's life. I have a clear conscience, I did everything I could."

Earlier in the press conference, the Portuguese coach had reiterated his certainty regarding his position, but everything seemed to be decided.
