Cristiano Ronaldo: Vinicius deserved the 'Ballon d'Or'

At the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony held in Dubai, Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr was named the best player of 2024.

Cristiano Ronaldo was also named the best player in the Middle East at this tournament.

After the award, the Portuguese "rekindled the spark" and said that Vinicius deserved the "Ballon d'Or" more, while the trophy went to Rodri of Man. City and was boycotted by Real Madrid.

"The Ballon d'Or was deserved by Vinicius, it was not a fair decision in my opinion. Rodri also deserved it, but I think this year Vinicius deserved it for the goal in the Champions League final. That's why I like the 'Globe Soccer Awards', it presents the awards in the most balanced way possible ," Ronaldo said.
