Pep Guardiola has another year of contract with Manchester City, but his words on the eve of the match with Everton have opened a spiral of farewell from the "citizens" after 8 seasons. City have just won the Club World Cup, adding another trophy to a perfect season that also saw the famous 'Treble' achieved.

"We will remain happy for what we have done, but the reality, the everyday... we have to do it again. "Football gives you some things and takes away others," said the Catalan. - I am more than satisfied with what we have achieved and the way we have been going for many years.

I think back to 5 Premier League titles, 4 Carabao Cups, FA Cup and all the semi-finals, where we played really well. But it's nice to see now all 5 trophies and people taking pictures. Then you realize how much you worked and what commitment is behind these trophies".

The personal feeling after winning it all?

"It's beautiful and I think the work is really done. I thought when we won the Champions League, but we didn't have the Super Cup, we didn't have the Club World Cup. Now we have everything. Now is the time to go buy a book and write our own story."

Guardiola has a contract with City for the next season as well. He is one of the highest paid coaches in the world with 22.4 million euros per season. In this classification, he holds the second place, after Diego Pablo Simeone, with 34 million euros per season.
