FIFA has officially announced the arrival of Bujar Pllanë to the Albanian national football team. The 24-year-old defender, born in Mitrovica, plays for Lechia Gdansk in Poland and has previously played three times for the Kosovo U-21 national team.
Sylvinho has already sent an invitation to the defender who plays in the center and on the right side of the field.
The highest world football organization has given permission and Pllana has moved from Kosovo to Albania, something formal as the defender had no obstacles as he has not played a single match with the Dardanians' A team.
The 24-year-old played in the Kosovo Super League for teams; Trepça '89, Feronikeli '74 and Prishtina, before moving to Slaven Belupo in Croatia in 2023 and then to Lechia Gdansk in Poland where he has been playing for a year and a half.
This season in the Polish Super League Bujar Pllana has played 11 matches for a total of 794 minutes. In addition to the center of defense, he also plays on the right wing and looks like a reinforcement for Hysaj and Balliu. It seems that Pllana will not be Sylvinho's only novelty, as the left-back of AEK Athens, Stavros Pilios, is also expected to join Albania.

The 2026 World Cup play-off between Poland and Albania will be played in Warsaw on March 26. The singles match will decide which team will advance to the play-off final for a ticket to the World Cup groups that will take place this summer from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Mexico and Canada. Next week, Sylvinho is expected to publish the list of names of the players gathered for the play-off phase.
