Play-off for the 2026 World Cup/ Poland "closes" the stadium for the Rossoneri, only 3000 tickets for Albanian fans

On March 26 at the "PGE Narodowy" stadium in Warsaw, Poland will host Albania for the play-off match that decides which team will advance to the play-off final, for a ticket to the 2026 World Cup Groups, which will take place this summer from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Mexico and Canada.

This meeting is a very important challenge for both teams, as the winner will have the opportunity to compete further, with the aim of participating in the 2026 World Cup.

The Polish Federation has started distributing tickets for the match and the interest of the local fans is extremely high. Due to this interest and according to UEFA regulations, the president of the Polish Federation, Cezari Kuleza, has decided to reject the request of the Albanian side to have more than 5% of the stadium capacity. This means that the red and black fans will only have 3000 tickets available, despite the efforts of the Albanian ambassador to Poland, Mimoza Halimi, to meet with the leaders of the Federation to increase this number to 5000.

The Albanian Football Association has also secured approximately 100 additional VIP tickets for its sponsors and officials, meaning that the participation of Albanian fans will remain limited. The “PGE Narodowy” has a capacity of 58,580 seats and is expected to be full and the atmosphere is also expected to be exciting.

The winner of this match will then face the winner of the Ukraine-Sweden match for a place in Group F of the 2026 World Cup. This will be a historic opportunity for Albania, while Poland aims to benefit from the strong support of their home fans. The match is expected to be tense, with strong emotions and careful tactics from both teams.
