Sofyan Amrabat was one of the most distinguished players of Morocco in the World Cup, while the midfielder who is active with Fiorentina in Serie A was the "brain" of coach Walid Regragui's team on the field.

However, in the semi-final, the French and coach Didier Deschamps had taken the 26-year-old to task, with Olivier Giroud instructed to follow the Morocco man toe-to-toe.
