Croatia has not been able to "swallow" the defeat with Argentina in the semifinals of the World Cup in Qatar and points the finger at the Italian referee Orsato that his actions influenced the outcome of the match.
The Croatians have everything with the penalty awarded to Alvarez in the 30th minute of the match, which according to them was non-existent.
"I met him often and never had a good opinion of him. It's a disaster. We were superior on the field until the penalty, which for me was not. Alvarez hits the ball and then collides with the keeper. I don't usually talk about referees, but today it's impossible. Orsato is one of the worst I know", said captain Modric after the match, who did not forget to congratulate Argentina.
In the same line was the Croatian referee Bruno Mari, who commented on Orsato's decisions.
"Argentina is the favorite in this World Cup and this was shown by the decision taken in their favor in the 30th minute, as this penalty did not exist. Livakovic did not commit a foul", said the referee.
The statement favoring Argentina was already in the quarter-final match against the Netherlands, where the tulips accused the Spanish referee Mateu Lahoz of bias.
