Morocco leaves the World Cup with their heads held high after being defeated 2-0 by France in the semi-finals, a historic achievement for the entire African continent.

One of the best of the Moroccans was undoubtedly the midfielder Sofyane Amrabat, who plays with Fiorentina in Italy and in this World Cup has recovered a total of 51 balls, more than any African footballer.

Amrabat has also received compliments from French President Emmanuel Macron who visited him after the match, having one more reason to feel proud.

"You were the best midfielder of this World Cup," Macron told the Moroccan midfielder after the match, as those who think like the French president are many.
