Algerian boxer Imane Cliffe has secured her ticket to the semi-finals after defeating another competitor.

After winning over Italian boxer Angela Carini, a fight that sparked a heated debate over her participation, she beat Hungarian boxer Luca Anna Hamori.

Cliff was expelled from the world boxing federation earlier because he failed gender tests. According to the president of the boxing federation, she had resulted in XY chromosomes, which makes her biologically male.

However, chromosome testing is not mandatory at the Paris Olympics, and the authorities of these games do not recognize the results of the boxing federation's tests.
