At the joint conference with EU Ambassador Sofia Moreira de Sousa , Prime Minister Rama was asked about the recent controversy with Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj .
He refuses to speak specifically, responding that he considers these statements worthless.
Journalist : The alignment of the stars seems very good for the country, but the situation is different for your government, which is facing protests and opposition, which has sparked an internal "war" within the party, I say this about the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj. Citing the latter's claims, have you threatened Veliaj and do you think he is behind the protests?
Rama : First of all, I want to say that the report is first and foremost a reflection of the government's work and who wants to know what form the government is in, reads the report and there is the government's certificate, which makes me happy, because it is very clear that Albania has made great progress, which Albanians do not notice except from the screens and channels of public disinformation. On the other hand, I want to say that the government is at the top of its game and continues to work every day with the objective for which we have gathered in this press conference, the historical objective of unifying the country with Europe and not allowing the loss of a historical opportunity created with a lot of work and helped by the alignment of stars in favor of Albania and Albanians. The rest are like the noise of cars coming and going on the boulevard. As important as they are for you, these are also for me.
