The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha , has reacted to the findings of the European Commission's report on Albania. 
 
In a press conference, Berisha criticized the parliamentary majority for rejecting the opposition's requests to establish investigative committees, as well as for voting against SPAK's request to lift the immunity of MP Belinda Balluku.

Berisha described the latter as an obstacle on the path to Albania's European integration, while accusing him and Prime Minister Edi Rama of involvement in corruption affairs.

"The Commission says that, after a long delay, the Parliament voted against the request of SPAK to lift the immunity of a deputy, Lubi Balluku is the word. This raises concerns about the mutual control between the powers and for equality before the law. Dear citizens, on the road to the EU, towards that future that has been and is the most beautiful dream of Albanians, an insurmountable wall becomes the biggest thief in the history of this nation, after Edi Rama, Lubi Balluku. That is why I do not want to personalize an international report, but in every word the name of the Godfather is read. It continues, the majority continues to resist and delay the implementation of several decisions of the Constitutional Court", declared Berisha.
