Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared that he will not resign until the end of his mandate, despite the recent protests taking place in Tirana.

In a message addressed to citizens and students, Rama criticized the protesters demanding his removal, accusing some of them of violence and attacks on the police.

" The task has taken me all these years to every nook and cranny of this country. But between the infinity of dreams and our reality, I have seen how different Albania is that is not represented, not even by the streets of Tirana, the screens of phones, or even the corrupt televisions."

"All this on the streets and in Tirana say they want my head, they enjoy violence, but I am the obstacle between this Albania and what has left behind the undeveloped Albania. I am and will be at the head of my duty until the last day of my contract with the Albanian people and not giving in to the voices of those students who are tearing up the boulevard and attacking the police," said Rama.

The head of government also spoke about increasing pensions, easing the cost of living, and the state budget, emphasizing that he intends to remain in office until the last day of the mandate received by the citizens.

"I have always emphasized it since I sought a fourth mandate, because my goal is for Albanians to always receive more. The economy has given us the opportunity and we have pledged that pensions will increase every year. This year's increase will be doubled. I am very aware of the cost of living for families from the increase in fuel prices.

It must be balanced at all costs and by any means. I told them that I would announce relief measures for ordinary families. For the first time in the history of Albania, the state budget exceeds the value of 10 billion euros. Albania is growing, but so is its economy. We are not the only ones saying it, but all the facts and evidence say it ," the head of government added.
