The term of the Electoral Reform Commission is extended

The Conference of Speakers, chaired by the Speaker of the Assembly Niko Peleshi, has reviewed the request for the extension of the term of the Special Parliamentary Committee for the Implementation of Electoral Reform.

After discussions among representatives of the parliamentary groups, an understanding was reached that the request would be put to a vote in the plenary session.

During the meeting, it was also decided that a plenary session for the reporting of constitutional institutions will be held on July 20, 2026. Meanwhile, in one of the remaining sessions of this parliamentary session, the work of the Special Committee for Administrative-Territorial Reform will also be presented.

"Under the leadership of the President, Mr. Niko Peleshi, a meeting of the Conference of Presidents was held to review the request for the extension of the term of the Special Parliamentary Committee for the Implementation of Electoral Reform.

After discussions, the Conference of Presidents reached an understanding and the issue was passed to the plenary session for a vote.

Also, the Conference of Speakers decided that on July 20, 2026, a plenary session would be held to report on the constitutional institutions, and it was decided that in one of the remaining sessions of this parliamentary session, the work of the Special Committee on Administrative-Territorial Reform would be reported.
