The chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was asked on the show "Open" if he will ever mention by name the oligarchs who stand today in the court of Edi Rama's government, and who, according to journalist Mentor Kikia, are the same ones who were once in his favor. During the show, Berisha talked about the concessions and the high oil prices, but even though he was asked by the journalists to mention names about the oil, he could not denounce the name of Shefqet Kastrati.
Kikia: I heard you when I asked to know what the third Sali Berisha will bring, you talked about transparency, transparency. Meanwhile, we have a handful of entrepreneurs in this country, who are called by a common name oligarchs. They were the ones who were in your yard when you had power, and then they ran to Edi Rama's yard. These are the ones who will return to your yard again, and you do not mention them. They do not find themselves shot by an opposition party!
Berisha: Well deserved. Absolutely any illegal activity will be punished!
Vasili: They have the concessions by law!
Berisha: You raised the problem first, I guarantee you that absolutely none of them have been in the government's court. I can give many examples, but I will say that none and have never submitted an important request to Sali Berisha, on the contrary, they may have sometimes received undeserved punishments and I have not taken away from you that they were legal procedures. My oligarchs have all been international companies that have won tenders through open international competition. All the roads from Levan-Tepelën, Rruga e Kombit were all built by foreign companies. When I was in power, tenders were not given to Albanian companies up to 3 or 5 million, and I made 10 million because I wanted to develop the economy.
Rakipllari: Will you hit these?
Berisha: Absolutely everyone! In all thefts the origin is the government.
Vasili: But the government doesn't do it alone!
Kikia: The concession in health is made by law.
Rakipllari : As the concession of fiscal stamps was made in the government of Berisha.
Berisha: Look at the fiscal stamps used by every country. Look, you're a journalist, and if you find any tender that hasn't been announced for competition and hasn't been announced in international newspapers, come on, tell me. He took Blair and told him that it is regular and if you break this you will receive a 300 million fine. See Mentor ONCD has a special anti-corruption department and breaks every concession of big companies. The OECD is very serious.
Sulo: Mr. Basha has left a draft law with the oligarchs in the DP drawers, which equated corruption with the Anti-Mafia law, i.e. for the sequestration of property when corruption was proven. Your properties were taken and returned to the state budget. Will you keep this bill or leave it in oblivion?
Berisha: Albania, with the help of the Italian Antimafia, drafted a very good law, but after it came Great Britain's Soka, the agency that was created after the September 11 attacks that included all sectors. They came and said, Mr. Berisha, we have a very good law and with it we amended the Anti-Mafia law to a level without discussion. I guarantee you that today's Antimafia law is excellent, but if it needs improvement, I agree. But the law needs enforcement, sir. Organized crime is also among the oligarchs
Vasili: It is not easy that they pay, keep the state budget.
Berisha: Look, if they control the government, they will make trouble for the country.
Rakipllari: Do they control the government today?
Berisha: Absolutely 100%!
Rakipllari: Will they mention you by name?
Berisha: I can denounce oil, but I can't denounce it when Edi Rama gets 1.1 euros per liter of oil. What should I say to him? if you wanted, go and use the force, but first of all you have your specialists. But you cannot do what cannot be done, that when you make the tax 1.1 lek per liter, he has the right to abuse.
Vasili: To whom?
Berisha: Look, in my government there were 32 oil licenses. Today there may be, I don't know, I see a little.
Kikia : Are you going to intervene in this matter? See, it is very important that if you are against the price increase, you should have taken a legal initiative to reduce it.
