The chairman of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha has revealed that in September the opposition will start a new wave of protests until the government is overthrown.

"When the protests start, they will be non-stop. Otherwise we will die out. It will not stop until the fall of the government. In September, we will start the protest for the terrible theft that is being done to the citizens. This is a second Sri Lanka", said Berisha, who cited North Macedonia as an example where, according to him, the protests led to the overthrow of the government.

When asked on the "Open" show, he said that the July 7 protest was bigger than he expected.

"It had absolutely nothing to do with anyone else, except Edi Rama. I think that as a protest it was undoubtedly beyond my expectations, because the time in which I called it, in the most difficult conditions that I have ever called a protest, but the time conditions must accept not avoid them.

Even if half of them came I would bow down to them with greater respect. There they came to perhaps the biggest protest in 30 years. I remember two bigger ones. I remember the second "Nano ik" and this one.

Furthermore, Berisha said that the law on strategic investments will be the first to be canceled as soon as he comes to power, while he also mentioned PPPs as abuses of the government.

Berisha said that Edi Rama will give an account for all that he has done.

"Even if he goes behind the sun, Rama will give an account. Edi Rama and Engjëll Agaçi who have brought dozens of complaints against me. Even the superpower of time has been taken up with insistence, but they have not found any evidence or facts. They have nothing to do with 100 years of investigations, not here, but all over the world ," said Berisha.

"The law on strategic investments will be the first law to be cancelled. I have opposed it incessantly. That law confiscates the land of Albanians. When he came to me, I told him I never do it

Second, PPP will end, tenders with one operator and secret tenders will end. I will stop luxury. I will never travel with an available plane ," said Berisha.
